On March 18th, 2014, Dean Ron Champion of Renison University College of University of Waterloo visited the School of Science and met with the head of the NMT program.
During the conference, both sides summarized the general state of last semester’s English education, discussed the problems existed, and affirmed the effectiveness of their cooperation. By the end of the conference, specific plans and agenda of the English courses in 2014 had also been determined.
After the conference, President Ron Champion walked into classrooms and met all the students in NMT class of 2013. He chose the “comma”—a simple yet also difficult to master punctuation—as his topic and won frequent applauses for his humorous and lucid introductions. Later, he also encouraged students to ask questions about future studies and life at the University of Waterloo and answered each of them in detail.
