Content & Introduction

Fengling Zhang received her M.Sc. and PhD in Solid State Physicsat Changchun Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1985 and 1998, respectively . She had been a teacher at the department of Physics, Northern Jiaotong University (Beijing Jiaotong University), China from 1985 to 1994.

In 1998, after graduated from Changchun Institute of Physics, CAS, she started her adventure abroad at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Osaka University, Japan, where she continued researching on Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) with Professor Yasuhiko Shirota. In March 2000, she extended her adventure to Sweden by joining the division lead by Prof. OlleInganäs at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (IFM), Linköping University (LiU), where she shifted her focus to Polymer Photodiodes and Solar Cells. She became a guest teacher at IFM-LiU (2002-2005). Then she was a guest lecturer until April 2008 when she became an Associate professor after she received Docent certificate in March 2007. She is a VINNMER Fellow of VINNOVA and collaborating with Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE), Germany on Organic Solar Cells (OSCs) and with Prof. John Reynolds at Georgia Institute of Technology on integrating OSCs with Organic ElectroChromic Devices (OECDs) for smart window application. She has been a visiting professor at Tianjin University of Technology, China (2009-2013). April 1, 2014, she became a professor at LiU.
